Workshop Fun!

I really love to teach so when I have the opportunity to teach a group of watercolor students, my fun meter is full!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to teach a class of 10 at a local business.

This was the painting that we were set to recreate:

All of the participants did an amazing job with this project. Several of them were new to watercolor but you wouldn’t have known it.

We started by making “C” shapes that interlocked and got bigger as we progressed around the flower shape.

Then we blended the shapes with water on our brushes to soften the original marks.

Next we added leaves which are really simple shapes and blended those as well.

Everyone enjoyed the process and I’m so excited for the next workshop!
